Happy Tea-Time Cake:

For one medium-sized cake, cooked in a spring form:

- 200g sugar
- 200g butter, softened
- 350g flour
- 200g dark chocolate, chopped
- 150g almonds, chopped
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 eggs
- 4 tbsp milk
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (or in Europe, 1 tsp vanilla sugar)

Cooking Instructions

Start at the top of the ingredients list and thoroughly mix each of the ingredients together. Place in a greased baking form and bake for 60 minutes at 180C.

This cake will keep for one week in the refrigerator or can even be frozen, so you can always be prepared when someone unexpected knocks at the door. Happy tea-time cake!
